Timberline Opens First

So you’ve been dreaming of snow-covered runs all summer, and you just can’t wait to get out on the hill? You can stop pacing, Timberline Lodge is opening up the Winter 2007-08 season with limited terrain.

While mother nature has just begun to put enough snow on its trails, Timberline still needs another storm or two to open the majority of the ski area. For now, Timberline is set to have the following lifts open for the Thanksgiving Holiday: Palmer*, Pucci, and Bruno’s.
*Palmer is recommended only for high intermediate and advanced level skiers and riders.

All lift service is wind, weather and conditions dependant. Weather on Mt. Hood can and often does change dramatically and quickly throughout each day, so check the conditions page and snowphone (503-222-2211) frequently for the most up-to-date information. We’ll keep you posted on what lifts Timberline intends to run, and will keep you advised of any weather closures.

Early season conditions do exist. Be aware of rocks, trees and other hazards while out on the hill.
